A 40-year-old Tres Pinos man died Friday in a motorcycle crash on Highway 25, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at about 5:50 p.m. Friday south of Horizons Drive between Hollister and Tres Pinos. The unidentified driver on a 2001 Suzuki veered off the roadway on the east edge and collided with a mile post marker and wooden post, according to the CHP. He was ejected and sustained fatal injuries.
Witnesses arrived on scene and called 911. Responders attempted first aid but to no avail.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while there are no indications of drugs or alcohol being involved, according to the CHP.
A county coroner’s office spokesman could not be reached immediately to confirm the victim’s identity.
