South Bay Singers is inviting new and returning singers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, San Martin, Hollister and throughout the South Valley to join its Fall/Holiday season, beginning Sept. 9 at Advent Lutheran Church in Morgan Hill.
The community choir welcomes all experience levels, requires no audition and offers a place to make music, build friendships and share the joy of singing together.
Artistic Director and Conductor Jonathan Souza returns to lead South Bay Singers into its new season. Souza, who also directs Gilroy High School’s choral ensembles, conducted singers at Carnegie Hall in New York City this past spring through MidAmerica Productions. He has now been invited to return to Carnegie Hall in 2028, bringing that same experience and musical energy back to singers throughout the South Valley.
South Bay Singers’ weekly rehearsals happen from 7-9:15pm Wednesdays at Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave., in Morgan Hill.
The ensemble’s open-door approach continues a local tradition of allowing community members to sing meaningful music in a supportive setting.
For singers who have been waiting for the right time to try choir, this is an invitation to step in. Whether you are a longtime singer, someone returning to music after a break, or a first time singer, South Bay Singers offers a welcoming ensemble and a shared purpose: bringing people together through choral music.
