I would like to take this time to thank all those who helped make our donation to the Salvation Army possible.
First, KSBW 8 for having the “Share your Holiday” program at the local Nob Hill stores around the Central Coast for the last 18 years. Bob Picha for having his daughter, who works for KSBW 8, get us a time slot on TV last year. Phil Howell for his idea of raffling off a leather and fleece jacket. We did well with that.
Nancy Serrano and Bob Picha took containers around and collected donations from various people. The following places of business allowed us to put containers to collect donations in their stores: Bill’s Bullpen 1 and 2, Righetti’s Liquors, Lynn’s Liquors, San Andreas Brewery, Faultline Coffee Roasting and Bagel Company, Hollister Motorsports and Faultline Powersports.
Chuck Gansen for not only buying raffle tickets, but he also bought a turkey because he heard they were short of turkey’s on TV.
In would also like to thank the employees of the Hollister School District office for their donations. John Sanders and the guys of the boosters came through again.
The customers and employees of Jerry’s Restaurant gave me donations every time I was there.
And last, but not least, the Gypsy Travelers Motorcycle Group for buying all the raffle tickets, making donations and for their show of support. This donation would not have been possible without them. They are a bunch of good people that I enjoy going on rides with.
Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something and this showed me that is so true. Again, thanks to everyone for making this happen and hopefully, we can do it again next year.
