Editor,

I just ran across your article about painter Edwin K. Gothberg while looking for paintings by Gothberg. I was surprised to hear how he died. My wife and I took art under Mr. Gothberg while attending Casper College in 1970-72. He was an amazing character. We would love to know if any of his artwork is available, or if any of it is on display. Carolyn and I loved his classes. We would be working on a painting in his class, he would stroll over and add a couple of his own touches, and suddenly a masterpiece was born. You could talk to him for hours. He used to talk about the wild horses on his land, but would not tell anyone where they were. He would talk about riding one of his horses to San Fransisco and riding across the Golden Gate Bridge. He painted nudes, and we remember the one of the nude woman holding a stringer of fish.
