Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville, spoke to Hollister City Council members Monday and announced he was holding office hours each week in Hollister.

Alejo was elected in November to the 28th District Assembly seat representing San Benito County.

Alejo spoke for about 10 minutes at Hollister City Hall during the council’s regular meeting. He brought up his office hours every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with one of his staff members at the Briggs Building.

Alejo also talked briefly about the changes for redevelopment agencies, with many likely to dissolve. He said he supported keeping RDAs alive in the recent budget discussions at the state level, but had to settle for a compromise with the state offering municipalities to opt for an alternative program at a cost.
