The Haybalers were up in both of the first two games. In the first game, San Benito had a 24-19 advantage before Leigh came back.

“We should have won the first two matches,” said Baler coach Henke Mao. “We didn’t finish.”

Tomas Rebecchi had nine kills for San Benito.

The Balers (0-2) don’t have another game until they open up with league play March 17 at Monterey and at Gilroy on March 19.

The team will be holding a fund-raiser car wash on Saturday at the Sunnyslope Medical Center.

JV Note: The JV team improved to 1-1 with a 21-25, 25-20, 15-12 win over Leigh.
