Bill Neukom will retire from his post on Dec. 31 – three years
after he took the position in 2008.
The Giants Managing General Partner and Chief Executive Officer Bill Neukom will retire from his post on Dec. 31 – three years after he took the position in 2008.

Giants President and Chief Operating Officer Larry Baer will takeover Neukom’s duties at the start of the new year, according to a Giants’ press release.

The Giants have been planning for a transition in which Managing General Partner and CEO Bill Neukom will retire from his position effective December 31, 2011. Mr. Neukom will serve as Chairman Emeritus in 2012. Giants President and Chief Operating Officer Larry Baer will assume Mr. Neukom’s duties and succeed him as Chief Executive Officer.

Out of respect to the fans and the team, the organization had planned to announce the transition at the conclusion of the 2011 season.
