Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, the WBO and WBA interim lightweight world champion, and Marcos Maidana, the WBA interim super lightweight world champion, will hold a news conference Thursday to officially announce their Aug. 27 bout in San Jose.

Thursday’s formalities will take place inside HP Pavilion, the site of the boxers’ upcoming duel.

The two fighters will be joined by Maidana’s trainer, Rudy Perez, Guerrero’s trainer, Ruben Guerrero, plus Golden Boy Promotions Vice President and Matchmaker Eric Gomez.

Maidana’s title is up for grabs in the 12-round match, which will air on HBO’s Boxing After Dark. The winner will likely get a crack at the survivor of Amir Khan-Zab Judah bout, who go toe-to-toe on July 23.
