A co-main event and five other fights have been added to the Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero versus Marcos “El Chino” Maidana fight card Aug. 27 at HP Pavilion in San Jose.
Golden Boy Promotions Matchmaker Robert Diaz sent the Dispatch a list of scheduled bouts, including a 10-round clash in the heavyweight division, pitting Seth Mitchell (22-0-1, 16 KOs) against Mike Mollo (20-3-1, 12 KOs.)
Jermell Charlo (15-0, 7 KOs) and Pablo Montes De Oca (10-19-2, 7 KOs) will engage in an eight-round encounter at junior middleweight, while Watsonville native and good friend of Guerrero, Carina Moreno (21-3, 6 KOs) will make her return to the ring in a junior flyweight appointment with Chantel Cordova (8-2-1, 3 KOs.)
Also on the bill, junior welterweight Danny Garcia (21-0, 14 KOs), lightweight Pablo Cesar Cano and middleweight Lee Reyes (1-0). Opponents for the trio have yet to be determined.
The WBA interim super lightweight world title is up for grabs when Guerrero and Maidana meet on the canvas – a fight to be featured on HBO’s Boxing After Dark. Tickets are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.
