The T-ball program is for participants ages 2.5 to 5 years old, and is designed to encourage a love for the game and companionship between players through the teaching of skills, development of positive attitudes about fair play, teamwork and reinforcement of the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
The program will run two sessions at Dunne Park in Hollister (located downtown off Seventh Street), one running on Saturdays from March 5 to April 9, with the second running on Saturdays from April 30 to June 4.
Cost is $45 for one session, $90 for both. Financial assistance is available.
The YMCAs afterschool flag football program is for boys and girls in third- and fourth-grade, and is part of the YMCAs collaboration with local schools.
Practices will be held once a week after school, starting the week of March 21. Tournament games will be played against other schools during the third Saturday and the sixth Saturday of the season.
Cost is $50. Financial assistance is available.
