Save the Music
Mr. Ostenson’s Save the Music Drive will host three pancake breakfasts at R.O. Hardin Elementary School, 881 Line St., in Hollister, April 21, May 5 and 19, from 8 to 11 a.m. The April 21 event will feature the Rancho Maze Concert Band and a rummage sale in the school parking lot. The May 5 event will feature solo ensembles by elementary school students. The May 19 event will feature the elementary jazz band. Healthy Kids Day
The YMCA of San Benito County will host Healthy Kids Day April 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 351 Tres Pinos Road, in Hollister. The event is free and will feature a day of healthy games and activities in a festival atmosphere. ‘Narnia’ at Granada
The San Benito Stage Company presents “Narnia,” C.S. Lewis’ tale of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” The show opens April 13, with additional shows on April 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 7 p.m., and matinees on April 15 and 22, at 2 p.m., at the Granada Theater, 336 Fifth St., in Hollister. General admission is $15, students and seniors are $12, and group packs are available for advance purchase for $40 for four tickets. PAL mentoring day
The San Benito County Police Activities League will host a Mentoring Day April 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the YMCA parking lot. The purpose of the day is to encourage mentoring in the community as well as promote PAL as a national organization that reaches youth nationwide. Some activities include

The purpose of this day is to encourage Mentoring in the community as well as promoting PAL as a national organization that reaches youth nationwide in providing Mentoring Programs. San Benito County PAL’s mission is to promote youth success and reduce delinquency through education, enrichment and recreational activities that teach life-skills and leadership while providing a friendly meeting ground for officers and youth. SBC PAL strives to offer quality activities for the youth of the community, with direction and focus to help them become better citizens. These activities will become a strong foundation for a positive relationship between the youth, Community and Law Enforcement.
Sunnyslope flea market
Sunnyslope Elementary School is seeking vendors for a school flea market on April 21, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and will be held in the school’s parking lot. For $15, vendors will get two parking spaces to set up their goods. Food and drink will be sold. The deadline to reserve a space is April 13. The flea market will coincide with an e-waste collection at the corner of Sunnyslope Medical Park. Residents can drop off a variety of electronics and appliances including computers, monitors, keyboards, washers, dryers, vacuums, irons, space heaters, mp3 players, alarm clocks, hair dryers and more. Saddle Horse parade
The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is accepting entries for the 2012 Saddle Horse Show Parade, scheduled for June 21, in downtown Hollister. The parade is limited to 80 entries, and forms are due June 15, by 4 p.m. Entry fees are $30 for single entry or vehicles, $50 for two vehicles, or free for public safety or local school marching bands.
