Holly Forth holds up pasta from the San Benito Pasta Company with her son Ayden.

San Benito Pasta opens on Sixth Street
Residents looking for a quick and tasty meal they can pick up
and take home have another option in Hollister now that San Benito
Pasta has opened downtown. The new shop at 360 Sixth Street
– next to the Free Lance and Pinnacle offices – opened on June
18 under owners Jarod and Holly Forth of Hollister. San Benito
Pasta sells its frozen varieties of ravioli after preparing the
imported pasta with the business’ sauce recipe and bagging it at
the location for customers to enjoy, Holl
y Forth told the Pinnacle. They sell the pasta in two sizes,
two- and five-pound bags, she said. Forth also noted how the pasta
makes for a quick preparation once home and that it heats in five
to eight minutes. She added that the business was inspired by
grandmother Shirley Lomanto and her family’s
recipe from Italy. San Benito Pasta is open noon to 6 p.m.
Monday through Friday. For information, call 638-9400.
