Solar company invites residents to groundbreaking at sewer plant

Clearspot Energy and Rosendin Electric will host a groundbreaking ceremony Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., to let community members know more about the impact of the Hollister Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Hollister School District solar energy projects.

The event will be at the City of Hollister water reclamation facility, 2690 Old San Juan Road, in Hollister.

Clearspot recently came to an agreement with the school district to provide solar power and save up to about $10 million over 30 years, similar to the deal made with the city earlier this year for providing power at the sewer plant.
