Cafe Ella is celebrating its two-year anniversary Saturday with a big change to its image – the business is altering its name a bit, to Ella’s Italian Restaurant.
Owner Ella King noted how the business is changing its name, while she also pointed out how the restaurant has made its fall menu change as well. Cafe Ella, now Ella’s Italian Restaurant, has traditionally altered its menu every other season, she said.
“We’ve also brought on some classics such as spaghetti and meatballs, and a really good thin-crust pizza,” she said.
Referring to the Italian restaurant tag, she said, “It kind of describes us a little more. We’re more of a restaurant than a cafe.
King also owns a Cafe Ella in Watsonville. That business will keep its name because it just serves breakfast and lunch, and fits more in line with the cafe theme because of that.
King mentioned some other upcoming attractions to look out for, such as wine dinners. The business also is rotating art every six weeks, while local artist Don Smith has pieces up at Ella’s.
Ella’s is located at 1709 Airline Highway, #A. For information, call 638-0338 or go to www.cafe-ella.com.
