Event to benefit Emmaus House
A Food and Wine event is scheduled for Oct. 9 at San Juan Oaks Golf Club with proceeds to benefit the Emmaus House for battered women and children.
The event set for 3 p.m. will feature five chefs who have San Benito County ties along with local wines. The chefs include Robby Stevens from the Inn at Tres Pinos, Doug Kuerschner from Carmel Valley Ranch Golf & Country Club, Matt Bolton from Highlands Inn, Mike Fischer from Bernardus Lodge and Sean Shelton from Peppoli at the Inn at Spanish Bay.
The wineries include Alicats, Calera, Guerra Wine Cellars, Jayse, Pietra Santa and Teaque.
It includes a five-course food and wine pairing, along with a live and silent auction.
