Swank Farms corn maze and haunted attractions

Swank Farms Corn Maze and haunted attractions are open through Oct. 31. Day mazes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Nightime Manic Maze is open on weekends only, from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Point Sur Ghost Tours

Two special Ghost Tours benefiting the restoration of Point Sur Lightstation in Big Sur will be held Oct. 23 (full moon) and Oct. 30. For a donation of $60, the evening of ghostly fun will begin with a walking tour to the lighthouse in time for the sunset; followed by refreshments in the barn; Point Sur ghost stories told by professional actor/docent Kevin Hanstick; access to the spooky Triplex; and dessert and beverages in the Visitors’ Center. Halloween story time

There will be a Happy Halloween story time at Mars Hill Coffeehouse, Oct. 28 and 30th, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at 610 San Benito St. Kids are invited to dress up as their favorite pirate, princess, cowboy or any other non-scary costumes to listen to some “faboolous” stories. The story time will also feature songs, games and crafts. The story time is free and discounts will be offered on food and drinks during the event. ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’

Robrock retrospective continues

The Blak Sage Gallery will host ‘John Robrock Through the Ages: a retrospective look and examination of life influences” through Oct. 28, 727 San Benito St., in Hollister. Robrock, who has an MFA, teaches drawing and painting at San Benito High School. The exhibit will feature 50 framed works of art arranged chronologically, reflecting life phases, including some nude life drawings. Other common themes in the work include cowboys, portraits, Native Americans and landscapes. The San Benito Police Activities League is hosting a golf fun night at Bolado Park Golf Course, 7777 Airline Hwy., in Tres Pinos, Oct. 22. The event includes a 9-hole four-person scramble, a shotgun start, 50/50 putting competition and 50/50 chipping competition. The $40 entrance includes green fees, cart, burger dinner and two glow-in-the-dark golf balls. Can and bottle drive

The Hollister Free Wheelers are hosting a fundraiser drive. Rummage sale and car wash

The Hollister YMCA karate program is hosting a rummage sale and car wash, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Sunnyslope Medical Building. Carwash tickets are $5 for a small vehicle, $7 for mid-size vehicles, $10 for large vehicles or trucks and $15 for extra large vehicles or SUVs. Sock Monkeys in the Wild

Shannon Grissom will host the exhibit “Sock Monkeys in the Wild,” at the Blak Sage Gallery, 727 San Benito St., featuring 40 sock monkey paintings.
