“Reporter Erin Musgrave did the impossible; she found the only bright light left burning in the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office. Erin’s article on Deputy District Attorney Candice Hooper was excellent. Candice is and always has been the consummate professional. It’s just too bad Sarsfield doesn’t know it.
Just so the readers know, when he took office Sarsfield removed Candice from prosecuting felonies and replaced her with the two Court Jesters…Wei and Wagner. These two live out of town and really have no ties to this community, nor did they have any experience prosecuting felonies…as you can tell from their lame performances so far.
Candice has too much class to complain so I’m doing it for her. To Sarsfield, Candice is just another political opponent that needs to be taken out for running against him.

She did what she knew was right and moved away and you ordered her back to Hollister – back into harm’s way. You Judge Fool put her back into a situation that YOU KNEW was dangerous. You ordered her back because of the boy. Now the boy’s mother is dead. You need be held responsible in some way. You should not be able to get away with this when you are just as guilty.
