When the Granada Theater was independently run, it showed some
quality, independent films that were interesting and relied on the
power of drama.

I am still waiting for quality movies to be shown in Hollister.
When the Granada Theater was independently run, it showed some quality, independent films that were interesting and relied on the power of drama.
Now, all we get is blockbuster hits, overpowering special effects and silly movies.
I have to travel to Santa Cruz or San Jose to see an interesting movie. I have only seen one movie in Hollister since the new management took over the Granada.
I am tired of the old-stock formulas from Hollywood. I want to be challenged intellectually.
I want to see multi-cultural drama that is not flooded with negative racial and ethnic stereotypes. I want to watch a quality movie in Hollister.
