Julieanna Avera is the lone applicant for an open seat on the Hollister Parks & Recreation Commission, and the council tonight is set to appoint her to the panel.

Avera would succeed Todd Baker. He had announced he would resign from the seat once the city finds a successor. Baker has been in the role since July 2008, according to City Clerk Geri Johnson.

Other members of the parks and recreation commission include Michelle J. Ramirez, Bruce Lewis, Laura Miller and Peter Meigs.
