Traffic likely will slow late at night and early in the morning on U.S. 101 in north Morgan Hill through Thursday this week.

From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday Thursday, crews from the California Department of Transportation will be grinding and paving pot holes on the freeway. The construction will take place on both sides of U.S. 101, between the Cochrane Road exit and Coyote Creek Bridge.

Only two lanes will be open on each side during the construction, according to a Caltrans spokesman.

Additionally, on Wednesday night, the Cochrane Road on-ramp to U.S. 101 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the construction zones.
