The Hollister City Council has appointed planning official Bill Avera as interim city manager.
Avera is succeeding City Manager Clint Quilter, who is resigning to take the job of public works director in Inyo County. This is Quilter’s last week on the job.
Avera will take on two jobs while in the interim role – that of city manager and his current post, director of development services. He will earn the same salary that Quilter earns – $134,355 annually.
Look back for more.
