San Benito County supervisors Tuesday are scheduled to elect a chairman to serve for the next year.

Supervisors are set to make the decision at their 9 a.m. Tuesday meeting at the County Administration Building, 481 Fourth St.

The board each year appoints a chair to run meetings, along with a vice-chair who can step in as meeting moderator.

Supervisor Jaime De La Cruz has served as chairman for the past year. Supervisor Margie Barrios has served as vice-chairwoman.
