The county’s Community Services & Workforce Development agency is hosting a televised “virtual job fair” Oct 15, according to a department head announcement at Tuesday’s board of supervisors meeting.
The county has 25 employers lined up, according to information provided at Tuesday’s meeting. The virtual job fair will be televised on the local Community Media Access Partnership channel 17 in Hollister.
There were no other details provided on the job fair as to how it will be structured.
Additionally out of Tuesday’s meeting, supervisors heard about a “lunch in the park” held Sept. 28 for homeless residents. The Community Services & Workforce Development agency used the opportunity to conduct “vulnerability index” surveys, with 24 of 25 attendees filling it out. It is intended to help guide decisions on homeless services in the county.
