The Rockies upset the league champion and defending champion to advance to the championship game Sunday at 10:30 a.m. against the winner of the Marlins and White Sox, who play tonight.

The Cubs finished in first place in the season and had a bye in the first round. The Rockies, who finished third, defeated the A’s on Tuesday.

Kevin Medeiros was 4-for-5 with two RBIs. He had a ground-rule double that bounced over the fence. Ben Hernadez was 3-for-5 with four RBIs, Nathan Hopkins was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Francisco Anaya was 2-for -4 with an RBI.

Hopkins pitched 3 2/3 innings, giving up two hits. Medeiros finished the game and also gave up just two hits.
