Schipper Design+ in San Juan Bautista has been recognized at
Graphic Design USA’s 2009 American Graphic Design Awards with 10
certificates of excellence, according to a press release.
Selected among the top 15 percent of more than 8,000
submissions, owner Kathy Shipper and the business received
accolades for work in designing invitations, catalogs, logos,
brochures and Web sites, according to the statement.

Awards to Schipper Design+ were given for such work as the business’ work in Hollister on a Marich Confectionery catalog, B&R Farms product packaging, a Santana Ranch information brochure, a Web site for First Trust Alarm and other services she provided to companies outside of the county.
“We are thrilled that so many local businesses were recognized in this national competition,” Schipper said in the press release.
Said Mari Ross, co-owner of B&R Farms: “Working with Schipper has been a wonderful experience. Our new B&R Farms packaging increased our sales tremendously. We launched from a local apricot grower to an international company.”
For more than four decades, the American Graphic Design Awards have recognized those in the graphic design industry. There are 23 different categories from print and packaging to net and interactive design. It is sponsored by Graphic Design USA, a monthly magazine for advertising and graphic design professionals.
Founded in 2003, Schipper Design+ is “dedicated to the same kind of energetic ingenuity that built her decades of success in sales, marketing and publishing,” according to the statement.
