I was disappointed that you would print something as silly as
people wondering what Lacee and myself are doing on the phone at a
softball game in the evening.
I am a mother of three young children. I also work a lot of
hours during the week and sometimes weekends for the Recreation
Division. I too have a home and family to take care of like the
majority of my participants in that league.

If someone has a problem with me being a mother, than maybe they ought to mind their own business and play the game they were there to play.
It is my job to be present at the championship games, however, I am a mother first.
As for the budget cutbacks, yes we did go to one umpire and I believe that the umpires we have on staff for the Recreation Division are more than qualified to handle these games by themselves. I have a very competent and excellent staff.
I would appreciate it if this person who is so concerned about the program would contact me instead of trying to use the newspaper as forum for their complaint. I would be more than wiling to discuss any questions or concerns they might have. Thank you.
