Earthquake shakes area east of Hollister

A 4.0-magnitude earthquake occurred at 11:36 a.m. in San Benito County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was reported in the Panoche Hills about 24 miles east of the Hollister area, according to the USGS.
