San Benito Cattlewomen Annual Pedro Party

The San Benito Cattlewomen is hosting its annual Pedro Party Feb. 18, at 6 p.m., at the Tres Pinos Church Hall, 7290 Airline Hwy. It is $10 per person, with play time starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be many prizes. For more information, call Charlotte Cabral at 637-8925.

Hozhoni Arts display up

Blak Sage Gallery will host Hozhoni Arts, with works by original California artists, author and illustrator Hozhoni, Feb. 12-28, 727 San Benito St. An artists’ reception will be hosted Feb. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live Essence sittings will be held Feb. 19. The Bornia Boys peform

The Bornia Boys will perform at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club, 3800 Airline Hwy., in Hollister, Feb. 19, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The band plays blues music.

Give Kids a Smile day

The San Benito Health Foundation Dental Department is hosting the 10th annual Give Kids a Smile Day, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 351 Felice Dr., in Hollister. Parents can bring children from infants to age 12 for a free dental screening. Activities for the kids include face painting, coloring and getting a picture taken with the tooth fairy. Oscar Party

Mr. O’s Save Hollister Music.org is hosting an Oscar Party at The Vault, 452 San Benito St., in Hollister, Feb. 27, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30 and include dinner and no host bar. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Feb. 23. The Red carpet show starts at 3 p.m., with the awards show beginning at 5 p.m. Glamorous attire and rhinestones encouraged, but not required. Art 103 Exhibition

San Benito High School students will have their artwork on display at Blak Sage Gallery, March 1-13. The show, Art 103 Exhibition, will be led by art instructor John W. Robrock. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

‘Just For Joey’ benefit pasta dinner

The Spring Grove community is hosting the “Just For Joey” benefit pasta dinner March 3, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Spring Grove School gym. Tickets are $20 per immediate family for family style pasta, salad and bread. Dinner can be dine in or drive-thru pick up. There will be DJ music and a live dessert auction. Caregiver’s Tool Kit

The Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center and Jovenes de Antano is sponsoring a series of workshops, Caregiver’s Tool Kit, for four Thursdays, Deb. 24, March 3, 10 and 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Jovenes de Antano, 300 West St., in Hollister. The class is free, but pre-registration is required. Respite funds may be available to attend the class.

The instructor Christina Andrade has a background in nursing and more than 20 years of experience in geriatric care. She has developed and taught classes on basic caregiver skills, behavior management, stress management and disease progression.
