The fall sports season at San Benito High School is set to kick
off on Monday, Aug. 6, with a slew of sports ranging from football,
girls volleyball, girls water polo, boys water polo, girls golf,
girls tennis, and boys and girls cross country.

Hollister – The fall sports season at San Benito High School is set to kick off on Monday, Aug. 6, with a slew of sports ranging from football, girls volleyball, girls water polo, boys water polo, girls golf, girls tennis, and boys and girls cross country.
All student-athletes must have all necessary paperwork on file at the Student Activities Office prior to participation on Aug. 6, 2007. Physical exams must be dated after June 1, 2007.
Also, the Building Character and Sportsmanship Inspirational Workshop will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at SBHS’s Mattson Gym. The workshop will begin at 1:30pm, and will feature Roger Crawford, America’s inspirational coach. The workshop, which is sponsored by the San Benito County 4-H, the San Benito County Office of Education, SBHS and ASB, is free to all youth in the community. Here are the practice schedules for SBHS fall sports.
Football
Coach: Chris Cameron
Varsity – Meet at 6:30am on the varsity practice field.
Junior Varsity – Meet at 7am on JV practice field (cleats, running shoes).
Frosh – Meet at 6pm at the Stadium (shorts, running shoes).
Girls Volleyball – Defending TCAL Champions.
Coach: Dean Askanas
All Levels – Meet at 10am at Mattson Gym.
Girls Water Polo
Coach: Lacey Sutton
All Levels – Meet at 8am at the Pool.
Boys Water Polo – Defending TCAL Champions.
Coach: Tom Agan
All Levels – Meet at 8am at the Pool.
Girls Golf

Varsity – Meet at 4pm at Ridgemark.
Girls Tennis

All Levels – Meet at 9am on the track (water bottle, shorts, T-shirt, running shoes). Participants will meet at 3pm starting Aug. 13. Anyone interested should attend. No experience necessary. Everyone participates.
