The Hollister Farmers Market returns Wednesday, May 1 to San Benito Street, beginning a 22-week season.

The market is offering free booth space to any Hollister Downtown Association member business directly affected by the market footprint. To qualify, a business must be on San Benito Street between Fifth and Seventh streets.

The market will close that stretch of San Benito Street to traffic from 1pm to 8pm.

The market will be open from 3pm to 7:30pm.

County job fair and expo May 2

The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce’s Job Fair and Business Expo is scheduled for May 2, 1:30-8pm at the Veterans Memorial Building, 649 San Benito St. in Hollister.

Chamber member booth pricing is $100, and non-member booth pricing is $200.

Admission for the public is free.

Businesses pair with wineries

The sixth annual Wine and Beer Stroll will take place in downtown Hollister on Saturday, May 4 from 1-5pm.

Participating businesses will be pouring a 1-oz. taste of wine or a 2-oz. taste of beer from a local winery or brewery.

Coffeehouse holding boutique

Mars Hill Coffeehouse, 610 San Benito St. in Hollister, will hold its first-ever Spring Boutique on May 4, 9am-4pm.

The event will feature local vendors and handmade crafts.
