Chelsea Fowles, last year’s co-MVP of the Tri-County Athletic League and a 2007 graduate of San Benito High School, is delivering a stellar freshman year for the Utah State volleyball team.

The former Lady ‘Baler will be competing for the Aggies (6-7 overall, 3-1 WAC) against San Jose State (6-6, 0-1) on Thursday, Sept. 27, in a Western Athletic Conference matchup at 7pm.

The Aggies will also be at Fresno State (4-10, 2-2) on Saturday for a 1pm matchup against the Bulldogs.

Fowles is currently leading the Aggies with 320 assists and has played in 30 of Utah State’s 42 matches, including the last seven.

Her assists average this season places the freshman seventh overall in the WAC, averaging 10.67 a game, and is also seventh in the conference in aces per game.

In conference matches, Fowles sits fourth in the WAC with 11.5 assists per game.

Four of Utah State’s losses this season have come from Top 25 opponents.
