Assemblyman Luis A. Alejo, D-Salinas, and the Gilroy California Highway Patrol are partnering to invite local families to have their child fingerprinted for free at the Mexican American Community Services Agency’s 7th Annual “Dia Del Niño.”
The event will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the MACSA Community Center located at 277 IOOF Ave. in Gilroy.
Along with getting their child fingerprinted, participants will have the opportunity to learn about community resources available to them. There will also be free food, games and entertainment, said Brandi Garcia.
The event is free to the public and Assemblyman Alejo’s staff will be on hand to discuss legislative issues.
“This is a great opportunity for families to have fun while ensuring child safety by maintaining fingerprint records of their child,” Alejo said. “Keeping our children safe at all times should always be a top priority for all of us.”
For more information about the event, members of the public are asked to contact Brandi Garcia via email at [email protected] or (831) 759-8676.
