The San Benito boys golf team clinched a berth in the Central Coast Section playoffs Tuesday, beating Christopher 206-228 in a Tri-County Athletic League two-team playoff at Laguna Seca Golf Raunch in Monterey.

San Benito carded the two lowest scores, as Aaron Smith scored a tournament-low two-over par 38.

“He played a great round,” San Benito head coach Reggie Synegal said. “We were all playing well.”

TCAL Most Valuable Player Ryan Han carded a 39 in the Baler victory.

Andrew Colton (43), Greg Moreno (49), John German (42) and Tony Ramos (44) rounded out the Baler scoring.

As a team, San Benito will play in the CCS Regionals at Rancho Canada in Carmel on Monday.
