On Tuesday, May 5, our community will come together for Silicon Valley Gives, and we need YOU to join us. It’s your chance make a real difference, right here in San Benito County.
Following a successful day of giving last spring, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation will host its second day of giving to benefit nonprofit organizations in Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Benito counties. On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Silicon Valley Gives (svgives.org) will raise money for local nonprofits starting at midnight and continuing for a 24-hour period through a single online donation platform, svgives.org
SV Gives is an event aimed at inspiring and uniting our local community to support philanthropic causes, providing a simple way to connect donors to the charitable causes they care about most and encourage them to take action. There is a $10 minimum donation for any cause, which provides an opportunity for donors of all different capacities to be involved.
As an added bonus, the Community Foundation for San Benito County is excited to offer a 1:1 match up to $50,000 from donations made through SV Gives to participating nonprofit endowment funds. San Benito County nonprofits can double their SV Gives contributions by adding to their endowment funds held at the Community Foundation for San Benito County.
