The Anzar High girls basketball team keeps topping itself.

Not only did the Hawks win an unprecedented third league game, 45-30 over Robert Louis Stevenson School Saturday in Pebble Beach, they won a second consecutive league game for the first time.

Sophomore Amanda Link paced the Hawks with 21 points and Cory Strasser chipped in 12. Suzie Garcia tossed in six points for Anzar (6-15, 3-10).

Anzar will be in tough this Tuesday when first-place King City (19-2, 13-0) comes calling. The Mustangs have scored over 90 points three times in league and hit 117 in a win over RLS earlier in the season.

The Hawks end the season Saturday vs. Pacific Grove.

In boys basketball, Anzar fell to RLS 77-38 at home Saturday.

The Anzar boys are at King City Tuesday then finish the season Saturday at Pacific Grove.
