Hsia-Coron, Zepeda and Vega all pocket goals for Anzar

The Anzar Hawks built a 3-1 lead and held on for a 3-2 victory Monday at Calvary Christian High in Pacific Grove.

Aaron Hsia-Coron put the Hawks up 1-nil early in the game at the 5th minute, while teammate Eduardo Zepeda made it a two-goal lead in the 23rd minute.

The Warriors responded with a goal of their own to close out the first half, but Anzar went back up by two when Juan Carlos Vega pocketed the team’s third score in the 50th minute during the second half.

Calvary Christian added a late score, but couldn’t net the equalizer.

With the win, the Hawks improve to 4-0 in the Coastal Athletic League, 4-1 overall.

Anzar will visit York on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 3:30 p.m.
