Pancake breakfast
The Hollister United Methodist Church will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Nov. 24, from 8 a.m. to noon, at 521 Monterey St., in Hollister. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. The meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, orange juice and coffee. Take out available. Details: 831-637-4240.
Aromas Bands Together
Aromas Bands Together is a concert that will raise money for the Aromas Grange’s Adopt-a-Family program. The event is Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. at the Aromas Community Grange. Top local musicians will give one night of performances, with Sleepy John Sandidge serving as the emcee. Tickets are available with a suggested donation of $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Lights on Celebration
Hollister Downtown Association proudly presents the 22nd Annual Light’s On Celebration and Parade, Nov. 24, from 10a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come downtown early to enjoy the Holiday Craft Boutique in the Vet’s Hall, downtown store specials, family pictures in the new life-size Snow Globe, as well as Jamie’s Toy & Canned Food Drive Holiday Car Show. Pre-parade entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. The lighting of downtown and our famous Light Parade, sponsored by PG&E begins at 5:30 p.m. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus available in the Vet’s hall following the parade until 8 p.m. Don’t miss out on this Holly Jolly Holiday Classic! Musical “In a Galilee Far, Far Away”

Holiday of Lights Parade
The annual San Juan Bautista Holiday of Lights Parade will be Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m., on Third Street. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of San Juan Bautista, the parade will include holiday floats, marching bands and horses. Santa Claus will visit – parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring cameras along.

Breakfast with Santa
Hollister Recreation, the San Benito Key Club and Kiwanis International Dec. 1, from 8 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $7 for guests 13 and older or $6 for senior citizens. Pictures with Santa are $7. The first 250 children ages 12 and under get in free to the breakfast. There will be a $4 charge for additional children.
In conjunction with the Breakfast with Santa, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 69 will be hosting an outreach program at the Veterans Memorial Building. There will be tables set up for various activities such as writing Christmas cards for veterans in the spinal cord unit in Palo alto; drawing a picture for hospitalized veterans at the Livermore Hospital; a craft table sponsored by the Union 4-H; a flag etiquette table; and collection barrels for the Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation that will accept toiletries, games and 4’x4’ lap blankets. There will also be a barrel for canned food donations for homeless veterans. Visitors can also get “Supporting Our Troops” stationary and cards for active duty military personnel. 12 Days of Giving
The Community Foundation and United Way, partnering with six local nonprofits, will be collecting monetary donations, toy, canned food and clothing donations Dec. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. in front of the following stores: Baler Market, Hollister Super, Kmart, Nob Hill, Target, Safeway, SaveMart and Windmill Market (in San Juan Bautista.) The donations will be split between six safety net agencies, including Court Appointed Special Advocates, Community Food Bank for San Benito County, the Salvation Army, Emmaus House, Homeless Coalition for San Benito County and Cahmberlain’s Children Home. Monetary donations will be matched up to $20,000. A community celebration will be held Dec. 8, at Tiffany Ford, 300 Gateway Drive. Details: 630-1924 or 12daysofgiving.info.
