The Hollister B freshman girls basketball squad improved to 6-2 on the season after they upended Hollister A Tuesday 28-16.

Hollister B took a commanding 17-4 lead into halftime. Erin Glasspool led the B team with seven points, while Mari Vallejo and Jackie Echaorre each contributed six. Jessica Steigelman had five points, and Nicole Rianda had four.

Coach Tom Dean said that Steigelman, Jessica Alva, Rianda, Vallejo, and Glasspool each contributed strong defensive efforts in the impressive team win. He added that the team is showing maturity on the court in their decision making.

Kat Graves led the A team with six points on Tuesday, with Mellissa Cortez and Michelle Fortino each adding four points apiece.
