Motorcyclists leave their spots along San Benito Street to cruise around during the Hollister Motorcycle Rally July 5.

Hollister City Council members Tuesday are set to consider a contract with the Hollister Downtown Association for a 2015 motorcycle rally.
That item is among an array of agenda topics for the 6:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting at Hollister City Hall, 350 Sixth St.
Council members are weighing the agreement in order to get moving on rally planning for the July 4 weekend event after the promoter from the past two years, Worldwide Dynamics, departed from the role. The HDA, which officially oversees the rally, is in the process of securing a deal with a new promoter for this year’s event.
Among other items Monday, council members will also consider revising the city’s conflict of interest code that lays out what decision makers must reveal about investments and other financial interests; the approval of a new code enforcement officer position; allocating $72,000 toward expansion of the skate park facility at Veterans Memorial Park; and the temporary closure of Nash Road to accommodate a future bypass and regional park in the area.
