The Anzar High boys basketball team opened the San Jose Bulldog Invitational on Wednesday with a 62-42 loss to Gunderson.

Mark Rania led the Hawks with 18 points, while Nick Salgado and Devon Parish each added seven points apiece.

Anzar is now 1-5 overall.

The Hawks will return to the San Jose Bulldog Invitational on Thursday at San Jose High Academy, where they will take on Latino College Prep at 3 p.m. Last Friday, in a non-tournament match, Anzar defeated Latino College Prep 62-24 in San Juan Bautista.
