The Gavilan College men’s basketball team returned from their holiday break on Wednesday night but were unable to start 2010 on the right foot.
Visiting San Jose City College for its Coast Conference opener, Gavilan couldn’t upset the Jaguars on the road and lost by an 82-59 margin.
It was Gavilan’s first game since Dec. 22, when the Rams lost to Cosumnes River College 104-90. The Rams are now 0-1 in the Coast Conference, 5-8 overall.
Gavilan will return home Friday when it will take on Hartnell College in Gilroy at 7 p.m.
