Victoria Aguilera scored 18 points, Nicole Rianda added 11, and the San Benito Lady Balers dispatched Pajaro Valley 69-14 Friday night in the semifinal round of the Watsonville Wildcatz Invitational.

Coupled with its 48-20 victory over Monte Vista Christian on Thursday, San Benito will advance to Saturday’s championship against Sacramento’s El Camino High, which defeated host Watsonville on Friday night.

The Lady Balers had 10 different scorers against Pajaro Valley, with Erin Glasspool depositing nine and Cassie Pate and Genesis Magee each adding eight.

“It was nice to get everyone in the game,” San Benito head coach David Kaplansky said. “They all played hard.”

San Benito controlled the game from start to finish, garnering leads of 23-9 after one quarter of play and 38-10 at halftime. Pajaro Valley, after scoring nine points in the opening period, was held to just five points for the remainder of the game.

The Lady Balers are now 4-0.

San Benito will play in the tournament final on Saturday against El Camino at Watsonville High. Tip-off is 1 p.m.
