Behind another 30-plus point performance by Jesse Ramirez, the Anzar High boys’ basketball team won for the third time in four games Wednesday night with a 67-30 victory over visiting Trinity Christian in San Juan Bautista.

Ramirez dropped a game-high 32 points in the game, and single-handedly outscored the private Monterey school. Ramirez had 30 points in Anzar’s previous game against York on Tuesday night.

Teammates Andres Gomez and Nick Salgado combined for 33 points for the Hawks, who improve to 4-2 in the Coastal Athletic League, 5-8 overall. Gomez had 22 points behind 10 field goals, while Salgado filled in the difference with 11 points.

Christian Monroy added a basket for Anzar, which outscored Trinity 25-4 in the final period.

Anzar also led 16-7 at the end of the first quarter and 30-16 at halftime.

Trinity’s Vincent Giacomazzi led the Warriors with 14 points.

Anzar is back in action on Monday night when it will host Oakwood at 7 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was postponed to the following week.

Anzar previously defeated Oakwood by a 56-21 margin on Jan. 5
