A welcome opposing view
I congratulate the Pinnacle for publishing John Bagley’s
well-reasoned editorial,

The Global Lie

.
By your own admission, the Pinnacle has not been providing
balanced coverage on the causes of global warming.
Unfortunately, most of the mainstream blames America first.
Media has so internalized the Al Gore talking points on the causes
of global warming that common sense no longer prevails.
The causes and cures of global warming has become a political
issue framed in selective science.
Most grade schools still teach that changes in the intensity
and length of daily sunlight is what causes summer to be hotter
than winter.  Gee, I wonder if the sun may also be a factor in the
natural long term fluctuations of global temperature that are known
to have occurred, long before I boug
ht an SUV?  I hope common sense prevails before the Al Gores of
this country regulate the destruction of the U.S. economy for no
measurable impact other than increased government control and less
freedom of choice.
I assume that one of the objectives for publishing a newspaper
is to actually have readers.  One way to lengthen the transit of
the Pinnacle from my driveway to the recycling bin is by providing
both sides of significant issues. I encourage the Pinnacle to
routinely publish articles and editoria
ls that outline both sides of major issues and let the readers
decide between fact and fiction.
