Shrieking about the impending falling sky, the Chicken Little PO-fleece Chief extorts the city council into canceling the rally.
Hollister will fester downwind of Gilroy’s garlic while the bikers take their gobs of discretionary spending elsewhere. Why reward the city for their fearful inaction with anything even remotely affiliated with the biker culture? At least wait until the current crop of incompetents are voted out, retire, or stroke-out over their doughnuts.

Sarsfield Needs to do his Job

I think a drunk in public is a DUI without a car. Does anyone remember the terrible accident several years ago on Fourth St. when a whole family was killed by a drunk driver? That was his first DUI but he had several prior drunk in public convictions. Mr. Sarsfield needs to put aside his personal Libertarian beliefs and do the job that the community is paying him to do.

Has ‘Unmitigated Gall’

Is it just me? Or is something amiss with the idea of a city councilman selling tri-tips at an event he voted to cancel?
I suppose the generous description would be “abject hypocrisy.” Of all of the unmitigated gall!
It isn’t enough that these supposed businessman couldn’t figure out a way to make money for Hollister out of 120,000 tourists. At least they’ve found a way to make money for themselves.
We hear much about preserving the rural character of the area in order to promote tourism, and yet when it comes to the largest tourist attraction in the history of the county, we roll up the welcome mat.
Well … not entirely. At least someone will make money selling tri-tips. I hope our guests will appreciate the irony.
