Holiday thanks to the community
On behalf of Emmaus House, we wish to thank the community
businesses and individual contributors that provided a joyous
holiday for our clients and their children at Emmaus House. The
women and children had a wonderful time opening the presents that
were so graciously donated. The children were able to once again
enjoy the excitement of the holiday season, especially knowing some
of the presents were from

Mom.

Thanks to the donations of cash and gift cards, the mothers were
able to go shopping for their children and provide their own love
and happiness during their time of transition, and the single
ladies were not forgotten either. Local school children built a
wonderful gingerbread village that looked great next to our donated
trees. Various organizations, local groups and generous individuals
provided food, presents and decorations that truly reflected the
spirit of the holidays. The board, management and staff of Emmaus
House thank everyone so much for making our holidays special. May
your generosity in 2006 bring you good fortune in 2007.

Oh boy! Bob’s back!

My husband and I want to thank you for bringing Bob Valenzuela back to the pages of The Pinnacle! We lived in Hollister from 1999 until 2002, and reading Bob’s column was always a high point of our week. Bob’s column then was both humorous and insightful, and, if possible, the new one, “Hollywood to Hollister,” seems even better. Now, we can read it online from a little farm in northern Alabama.

The Pinnacle just never seemed like The Pinnacle without Bob. Thanks again!
