Mabie Skilled Nursing provides support to family and friends
My mother, Dori Moreno, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 28,
after suffering from multiple complications. She was a resident
patient at the Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility (Southside), where
the staff provided her with competent and compassionate care. I
want to express my gratitude to the staff for meeting my mother’s
various needs as well as giving her a needed smile and engaging her
in conversation regularly.
Initially it was a difficult decision to allow my mother to be
placed in a nursing care facility, but over time I became confident
that it was the right thing to do for her. I visited her daily, for
five months, to hug and kiss her, and to talk, listen and sometimes
join her in a meal. I knew that when I left each day, she would be
in good hands.
When my mother passed away, many of the staff were clearly
saddened by her passing. In the last days of my mother’s life, the
Mabie staff was extremely supportive of my family and friends. For
this, I remain grateful.

COG offers socialist policies

The crucial question is will COG’s new Citizens Policy Committee support MPO (metropolitan planning organization) COG screwing taxpayers with ever-greater government transport while ignoring advantages of private-sector transport, thus making our county’s economy worse every day they screw us?

Or will they demand reform of COG’s radical socialist transit policy?
