If it hadn’t been for their love and kindness in deciding to sponsor my family, Christmas would have been pretty dreary.

Regarding the article “Ridgemark Cuts Food Service Staff” (Jan. 6):
Yet another increase in the minimum wage goes into effect, and Ridgemark Golf and Country Club closes its dining room.
Of course these two events couldn’t possibly be related …
