City’s Spending Priority Should Be Public Safety, Not Leaf Loader

Editor,

Regarding City Manager Clint Quilter’s recent letter to the editor (“City Saving Money by Buying New Leaf Loading Machine,” Jan. 12):

Mr. Quilter and the City Council’s prudent business decision has placed this city in the financial mess that it is in now.

You can’t use this machine with potholes in the roads.

Get off your behind and walk down the streets of Hollister. The sidewalks and roads are a mess.

Public safety should be first before your fancy machine.
