A Scout Thanks Ignacio Velazquez and Hollister
Editor,
On behalf of Troops 400 and Monterey Bay Council, the Boy Scouts of America would like to give special thanks to Mr. Ignacio Velazquez for sponsoring myself, Alan Joseph Camarillo, to attend the 2007 World Scout Jamboree in England from July 27-August 8.
Mr. Velazquez did not hesitate to offer his business establishment “The Vault Restaurant” to host a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Nov. 4 promoting my leadership status as the scout selected to represent our local chapter at the World Jamboree. Because of his strong community values and belief in future youth leadership programs, he has helped to make this once-in-a-lifetime dream become a reality. We are extremely appreciative of Mr. Velazquez’ support. This recent gesture of BSA endorsement has proven to be a true example of his independent leadership qualities and strong family values.
There has also been an outpour of positive response from our Hollister community and the World Jamboree campaign committee and I am eternally grateful. Thank you to all the local Hollister businesses who have also sponsored this 2007 World Scout Jamboree respectfully:
